Hi. I’m Ryan, and I’m going to help you burn fat and get strong.

Normally this is where I’m supposed to tell you my life story and why I got into coaching and blah blah blah.  But this isn’t about me, this is about you.  If you care about that other stuff, it’s at the end.

Can I be blunt for a sec?

Most of what I tell you will directly contradict what you’ve been told in the past. That said, my approach is based on years of experience and well-supported by research. Oh yeah – and insane results for clients. Now – if you’re not open to new ideas or willing to follow my advice, you’re wasting your time reading past this.

Still here?! I love it. Somebody willing to go against the grain. I like you already.

At the end of the day, my goal is to help you achieve your goals.  Plain and simple. I want to give you the strategies and tactics to not just achieve your fitness goals but keep those results forever. 

Sure, we’ll talk about fats, carbs, protein, and all that jazz.  Heck, we might even get into some really nuanced science at times.  But the truth is – there’s no science I’m going to teach you that you couldn’t look up yourself on Google

But that’s not why you’re here.  You’ve looked this stuff up before, and you have a pretty good idea about what’s “healthy”.  You’re here because the world is full of incredible foods that taste amazing but maybe aren’t the best thing for our bodies and minds.  And staying away from those can be downright tough. 

Seriously, put a bag of Five Guys fries in front of me and watch out.

Here’s where I come in. 

Figuring out what “health” looks like for you is HARD and certainly more of an art than a science.  I’m not going to try to wow you by citing studies and using big, fancy words.  Where I will wow you is with my approach to behavior and lifestyle change which are critical for making the healthy changes you’ve always wanted. 

More importantly, this is where you’ll wow yourself

  • You’ll wow yourself when you realize how subtle tweaks and a little bit of discipline can make monumental impacts in damn near every aspect of your life. 
  • You’ll wow yourself when you realize that investing a little bit in yourself improves the life of everyone around you. 
  • You’ll wow yourself when you realize that you conquered this whole nutrition thing…and can still drink a beer if you want.

As promised, here’s a little about me…

I picked up my first weight when I was 10, started reading health forums at 13, and began informally coaching others at 16.  To my core (pun intended) – I love this stuff.  Nutrition, health, wellness, exercise – all of it.

As much as I love pursuing health myself, I love helping other people figure it out more.  What I don’t love so much is all the conflicting (and many times totally inaccurate) health information spouted on social media. 

Which brings us here.  I got into coaching to cut through all the BS and impact lives.  I have a passion for health that’s been growing since I was 10, and now I feel a responsibility to share that.  The only meaningful way to do that – work directly with people like you. 

And just to put a nice little bow on this section, here are some other things I love that are completely outside the health & wellness space: exploring trails with my fiance & dog, college football, coffee shops, my mom’s baked goods, board games, 90’s rom coms (not ashamed), live music, watching wildlife, and Goose Island IPA.
